 Angela Chao, Deputy Director of the Foremost Group, will be accompanying her father James S.C. Chao to the 40th annual Silver Bell Awards dinner on June 8, 2017. The Seaman's Church Institute's Annual Dinner raises funds to support mariner rights, provide training programs, advocacy and more to US seafarers. The Silver Bell award is bestowed upon a person or group who has made significant contributions to the maritime industry and to merchant mariners.
Dr. Chao is being recognized for his advancement of the maritime industry, his lifelong dedication to education, as evidenced most recently by his charitable contributions to National Taiwan Ocean University and SUNY Maritime, and his commitment to building the highest caliber of shipping fleets and professional staff. More than 800 attendees from across the maritime industry are expected to attend this festive event.
